Hot air balloon flights in Cappadocia depend on the weather: if wind, visibility or precipitation are not suitable, the flight does not go ahead. That decision is made neither by you nor by your travel agency but by the authority responsible for flight safety and the pilots, so a cancellation can happen at any time of year.

What happens with Best Premium Travel if the flight is cancelled?
If the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) cancels the flight, you receive a 100% refund of what you paid or, if you prefer, your booking is rescheduled free of charge to the next available day. When is a flight cancelled?
The decision depends on that morning's wind speed and direction, visibility, and rain or fog. Even within the same week, flights may go ahead one day and not the next. Flights cannot be guaranteed in any season, although conditions are usually more favourable from April to June and from September to November.
How to plan around a possible cancellation
- Plan at least three days (two nights) in Cappadocia and put the balloon flight early in your stay, so you still have a spare day if it is postponed.
- Do not book the flight for the last morning of your stay: if it is cancelled, you will have no day left to reschedule.
- In high season (April–June, September–November) book at least 2–3 weeks ahead; it also makes it easier to find an available day for a rescheduled flight.
- If you have other plans on the same day (a transfer or a day tour, for example), tell us when you book and we will try to help you rearrange them if the flight is cancelled.
